Basic Focus Groups
Who
A single panel of six or twelve surrogate jurors from the trial venue are carefully recruited as representatives of your potential jury pool.
What
This panel is recruited to a conference room. Under the supervision of an experienced jury consultant, research is conducted in a half-day exercise. After the exercise, the client receives an oral report which provides an analysis of the exercise and provides general recommendations.
Why
This exercise is designed to provide a “snapshot” of the jurors’ reactions to the case including their views of key trial themes.
Full Jury Research Exercise
Who
A representative sample of two or three panels of mock jurors from the trial venue are recruited to a state of the art focus group facility.
What
Under the supervision of experienced jury consultants using the latest social science methodologies, research is conducted over one or two days to identify key trial themes and juror profiling trends. The client is sent a written report which provides a detailed analysis of the exercise and provides detailed recommendations.
Why
This in-depth exercise is designed to identify the client’s strongest trial themes and identify the profiles of jurors who would be most receptive to the client’s arguments. In addition, witnesses can be tested live or on tape. Exhibits and graphics can also be tested.
